What are the best tips to photograph interiors with a digital camera (slr) and architecture?

Pure high speed photography. My first love in imagery is natural photography and using correct settings to achieve a cool final result.
One of my favorite gull dipping shots as they swoop in for the bread thrown into the water. One quick movement and it's over and they're gone. Enough time to pop off maybe two shots using a shutter speed of about 2000, sometimes up to 4000 on a really bright day.
