I want to buy a digital camera that has a really good zoom. Does anyone have any tips??

It seems my new camera is a useful prop for starting conversations related to photography.

Two times during Sunday afternoon, I noticed two different women with Canon DSLRs (One had the Digital EOS Rebel XT, and another had the Digital EOS Rebel XSi)

The conversations went well. I have to admire when people have good taste in cameras, and hopefully I picked up a few tips, as I work my way through the learning curve
