I'm shopping for a digital camera. Will you please give me some tips on what I should be looking for?

Another quick upload (my internet connection at this hotel is not good!)

While uploading tonight I saw this and said, "Cool!!" So I cleaned it up a bit and uploaded.

If you ask how I got the white rotation around the airplane... Well it's a quirk with digital cameras or so I've read. One prop blade has a white tip and when rotating quickly the camera just kind of records it this way. I'm sure there is a far more technical
